In this paper, the principle of unrepeatered submarine optical cable is introduced, comparison between electronic repeater system and unrepeatered system using optical fiber amplifiers is made, and the structure and properties of 25km Type HA unrepeatered submarine optical cable recently manufactured by ASOFCC is presented.
