VirtualDose: A New Software Used for Reporting Patient Organ Dose from CT Scan

摘要 随着多排螺旋CT的广泛应用,CT扫描所产生的辐射风险已引起广泛关注。准确评价CT扫描所致受检者的辐射剂量,是尽可能降低CT辐射风险、实现辐射防护最优化的前提。VirtualDose是一款可以准确快速计算CT扫描所致受检者器官剂量与有效剂量的应用软件。VirtualDose拥有基于25种体素化人体模型计算结果的庞大器官剂量数据库,与现有的其他CT剂量计算软件相比,计算结果更为准确。 With the increasing popularity of multi-detector computed tomography (MDCT), concerns have been expressed regarding the increasing radiation risk from CT scan. Accurate assessment of radiation dose from CT scans is very important to make the CT radiation risks as low as possible and achieve radiation protection optimism. VirtualDose is the application software for reporting organ doses and effective doses for a patient undergoing a CT scan fast and precisely. Based on a large library of organ doses calculated with 25 realistic anatomical models, VirtualDose is expected to report CT doses with better accuracy when compared with existing CT dose software tools.
