民国时期天津保安警察队研究

Research on Tian Jin security guards in Min Guo period

1902年新式警察在天津产生时,其内部并未有保安警察这样的警种,进入民国后,因时局动荡,社会治安环境不断恶化,为维护上述环境下的社会秩序,保安警察得以创设组建。保安警察队产生后,在维护社会治安、处置社会突发群体事件及抵抗外来侵略等方面发挥的特殊的重要作用。民国大部分时期,天津保安警察队主要用来维护地方当政者的利益,但是,警察队在实现上述目的的同时对天津地方社会的稳定也起了重要的作用。

When the new police was produced in 1902, there is no such position as the security guard. In Min Guo period, the security guards were built to protect the social order because of the turmoil and deterioration of the society. The security guards played an important role in maintaining the social security, dealing with the emergent group incidents, and resisting foreign aggression. In most time of the Min Guo Period, Tian Jin security guards mainly protected the interests of the local government, however, the police made certain contribution in maintainin~ the stability of the local societv.
