Study on Influential Factors to Migrant Workers' s Entrepreneurship in Urban Areas

农民工创业问题成为近年来社会关注的重要议题。与以往重视结构性作用的研究不同,本文主要从主体性视角讨论了影响农民工城市创业的诸多因素。基于实证调查的数据,研究发现:个人的客观条件和内在动机构成了创业发生的必备要素。从客观条件看,个人的年龄、性别和文化程度都会对创业产生影响,同时个人拥有的资源也会影响其创业与否的选择;从内在动机来看,对自身处境的重视和对子女未来的考虑成为农民工创业的双重推动力。在具体时空背景下,研究中对主观性的强调并不排斥结构性因素的作用,某一方面因素的重要性在特定的情境可能会被突显,因而只有将其置于相互关联的时空脉络,才可能获得对农民工城市创业问题的正确估判和有效理解。

The entrepreneurial problems of migrant workers have become pivotal issues of social attention at present. Differing from the study that accentuates the function of constitutive property, this paper, using the subjective perspective, discusses many factors which influence migrant workers＇ entrepreneurship in urban areas. Based on empirical investigation data, the study finds that the objective conditions and inherent motivation of individual constitute essential elements of entrepreneurship. As for objective conditions, the age, gender and cultural degree impact entrepreneurship, resources that individual owns influence entrepreneurial choice as well. In terms of inherent motivation, attaching importance to oneself situation and considering future development of their children become dual driving forces of entrepreneurship. In the background of specific time and space, the study emphasizes subjectivity but does not exclude the function of constitutive property factors. Some important facet factors may be highlighted in certain circumstances. Therefore, only if we put these factors in correlative time and space venation, can we acquire exact evaluation and valid understanding of urban entrepreneurial problems of migrant workers.
