To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee's masterpiece, deals with multiple themes, such as human good and evil, racial discrimination and hypocrisy of social hierarchy in the South of America, which caused a wide range of social concerns. As an excellent story about female growth, this book explores and demonstrates the problem about how females could physically and mentally achieve a healthy growth in a complex social environment. After experiencing a series of events related to Boo and Tom, Scout, the narrator of the work, gradually turns to be mature in adults' world from inside out. Under the guidance of her father, she achieves her maturity and growth through silent revolt against discrimination and injustice in the end.
