摘要
沉默既是英语教学的严重障碍,又是学生学习困难的普遍现象。本文选取五所农村与城市初中,采用问卷调查、课堂观察、个别访谈等研究方法,全面了解初中师生对英语课堂沉默的认识与态度,深入分析课堂沉默的行为与表现。在此基础上提出旨在克服教师英语教学障碍、干预学生英语学习困难的应对课堂沉默建议:营造学生乐于表达的、开放的课堂生态环境是最大限度释放英语课堂沉默功能的前提,在课堂教学中采用科学的方法积极应对是关键。
Silence implies a serious obstacle in English teaching, as well as a common sign of students' learning difficulties. This paper, by surveying five rural and urban lower secondary schools with questionnaires, classroom observations, and individual interviews, aims to explore the attitudes of teachers and students from low- er secondary schools towards silence in the English class, as well as the specific forms of silence. Based on this, the study gives proposals on how to deal with silence in the English class: creating an open classroom environ- ment, where students are willing to express their ideas, is the precondition for the breaking of silence in the En- glish class to a maximum, and the key is to use scientific methods to deal with silence in the English class.
