语境理论与英语阅读教学

摘要 传统的英语阅读教学往往单纯地强调词汇,短语在阅读理解中的重要性,词汇和短语固然重要,是阅读顺利进行的基础和保证。但是否有了足够的词汇和短语就能够完全理解语篇的意义了?经过笔者多年教学和研究发现,有很多英语学习者,有着巨大的词汇量,但仍然无法顺利地进行英语阅读,很难准确地理解文章的意义,从而影响了继续坚持英语学习的动力,挫伤了积极性。语境是语篇分析的一个重要理论,本文从语境的定义,语境理论对理解语篇的作用以及语境理论对英语阅读教学的启示来进行讨论。 The traditional teaching of English reading is often simply to emphasize the importance of words, phrases in read- ing comprehension, vocabulary and phrases is important, they're the foundation and guarantee to read smoothly. But will en- ough vocabulary and phrases be able to fully understand the meaning of discourse? After the author's years of teaching and research findings, there are many English learners, has a huge vocabulary, but still cannot carry out smoothly in English read- ing, it is difficult to accurately understand the meaning of the article, thus affecting the motivation to eontinue to adhere to the English, dampened enthusiasm. Context is an important theoretical discourse analysis, this article from the definition of context, contextual theory for understanding the role of discourse context on English reading teaching for discussion.
