基于语料库的国内外体育科学英文论文写作对比研究

A Corpus-based Comparative Study of Research Paper Writing in the Field of Sport Science at Home and Abroad

运用语料库语言学方法,通过对比规模化的中、外运动科学论文英文摘要,找出国内学者英文摘要写作与国际期刊英文摘要的异同。自建了两个语料库,分别包括869篇国内体育核心期刊英文摘要和1 759篇国际体育学术期刊英文摘要,通过必要的人工标注和软件(Wordsmith和PowreGREP)分析,研究了两个语料库中的摘要在语篇结构特征、文本特征(单词长度、句子长度、类符/形符比)、人称使用等方面的异同。研究结果表明,国内学者英文摘要写作在这些方面与国际期刊摘要都存在显著差异,如"背景"语步缺省,语篇结构混乱;文本用词不够丰富、准确,信息密度低;第一人称使用情况严重不足等。

This study aims to investigate how the English abstracts published in domestic sport science journals differ or resemble those in the international counterparts. We collected 869 English abstracts from some Chinese key journals and 1759 English abstracts from famed in- ternational journals to build two corpora which were examined statistically by means of com- puter programs such as Wordsmith and PowerGREP after necessary annotation. The results show that the two corpora differ significantly in terms of moves, textual characteristics （word length, sentence length, type/token ratio） and person. Compared with international journal abstracts,the Chinese scholars＇ abstracts generally demonstrated a poorer structure, with the ＂background＂ move usually omitted, less diction accuracy and lower information intensity, and underuse of the first person.
