In the paper, the application of Matlab software in analytic geometry is studied in depth, and the general method for the drawing of dual implicit function and ternary implicit function is discussed. The cartoon function of Matlab is applied to the teaching of analytic geometry, which makes the teaching lively and vividly, and makes the students easily understand it. The different graphics in the same coordinate system are researched, so that the students can know the position relationship of the graphics clearly, and are released from complicated calculations.
