农村基层民主建设作为我国基层民主建设的重要内容,自村民自治制度确立之后得到了很大的发展。作为一种具有内生性的制度,村民自治在具体实践过程中依然存在很多问题,但是随着基层群众权利意识、民主意识、民主能力和综合素养的不断提高以及社会主义法制的不断健全,农村基层民主的建设不断取得新的发展,自下而上地推动着整个中国的民主进程。

The improvement of democracy in China, has greatly developed since the at the rural grassroots level, as an important content of enhancing the basic democracy villagers＇ autonomy system was established. As a kind of endogenous system, many problems still exist in the process of practicing village self-governance. But the rural democracy at the grassroots level has continuously achieved new development thanks to the constant improvement of the people＇s consciousness of rights, democratic awareness and abilities as well as comprehensive qualities, together with the unceasing soundness of socialist legal systems. This promotes the democratic process in China from the bottom-up.
