It is one of the important issues to make a study of fire safety of restaurants and hotels to strengthen the fire management and to prevent mass injuries and casualties. This paper analyzes the major causes of restaurant and hotel fires and their burning characteristics. Some measures are offered according to related fire standards and codes.
