台湾地区高等教育发展策略评析

An analysis of Taiwan's higher education development strategy

数十年的台湾经济发展,台湾高等教育功不可没。台湾教育政策不断适应当地经济社会发展要求,高校的扩张与放权、民办教育的发展、卓越教学奖励计划等等,为台湾培育了不少人才,满足了当地社会需求。文章分析了台湾地区高等教育发展历程及特点,也讨论了伴随发展所产生的问题和原因。

Over the past decades of economic development in Taiwan region, higher education has played an important part, which has produced thousands of diversified professionals and other per- sonnel. To adapt to the economical and social development demands, the higher education develop- ment schemes in Taiwan have incorporated adjustments. The expansion and extension of university, private education development and teaching excellence award scheme have been designed to satisfy social demands. The article attempts to analyse the development process and features of the higher education in Taiwan region and to explore the problems in its development process and their causes.
