A Case Study of the two Chinese Versions of Sense and Sensibilityfrom the Perspective of Hermeneutics

阐释学是一门对于意义的理解和揭示的理论。本文借鉴乔治·斯坦纳阐释运作理论,从译者主体性视角评《理智与情感》的两个中译本。认为译者主体性的发挥,使同一著作拥有风格迥异的译本,每个译本都满足了不同读者群的需要,有其存在的合理性和审美价值。文学翻译批评能从译者主体性角度对文学翻译的过程做出一个更全面、深入的描述和评价。

Hermeneutics is a theory of understanding and interpreting the meaning. The article, by applying Steiner~ s translation motion theory,gives a comparative analysis of the two Chinese versions of Sense and Sensibility from the perspective of the translator＇s subjectivity. The author argues that the exertion of the translator＇s subjectivity brings about different translations of the same original with distinct styles, and each translation has its own value, for it caters for different readership, and literary translation criticism should take the translator＇s subjectivity into account to provide a more sound and comprehensive study of the process of literary translation.
