论权利操控下的佛经翻译——武则天时期的佛经翻译

The Translation of Buddhist Scriptures Manipulated by Power——The Translation of Buddhist Scriptures during the Time of WU Zetian's Control

武则天时期,佛教的发展达到了一个鼎盛阶段,因此研究武则天时期相关的佛经翻译有着特殊的学术价值。武则天作为权力代表对当时的佛经翻译活动起到了操控,本文运用安德烈·勒菲弗尔(Andre Lefever)的操纵理论和法国哲学家米歇尔·福柯(Michel Foucault)的权力话语理论,从武则天时期佛经翻译的数量与选材,译经中心的迁移,与佛经翻译的高僧交往情况入手,分析武则天是如何运用权力对佛经翻译进行操纵,从而达到自己的政治目的——夺得政权,巩固政权。

For Buddhism achieving its prosperity during the time of WU Zetian＇s control,the researches on the translation of Buddhist scriptures have an academically special value. As the representative of the ruling power,Wu Zetian played a critical role in the translation activities of Buddhist scriptures during her con- trol. This article would analyze how Wu Zetian exerted her influence on the translation of Buddhist Sutra by use of the Manipulation Theory and Power Discourse Theory. She succeeded in achieving her goal-seize power and consolidate power by manipulating the number and selection of translation materials, the migra- tion of translation centre from Changan to I.uoyang and the contacts with eminent monks engaged in the translation of Buddhist scriptures.
