建国后,我们党艰辛探索中国特色社会主义道路,刘少奇做出了重大贡献。他根据当时我国经济社会发展和自然环境状况,提出了可持续发展的重要思想,为我们当前进一步深化改革扩大开放,全面贯彻落实以以人为本为核心的科学发展观,推进中国特色社会主义又好又快发展,提供了有益借鉴。

After the foundation of PRC, Liu Shaoqi made great contribution to the exploration of Socialist road with Chinese characteristics. Based on the economic and social development of China and natural environmental situation, he put forward the ideology of sustainable development, which was of great significance to the further reform and opening up, implementation of human-oriented scientific development outlook, and promoting the quick devel- opment of Socialism with Chinese characteristics.
