摘要
多元智能理论尊重学生的智能特征,否定"以教师为中心"的传统教学模式。多元化的英语阅读教学课堂不再局限于发展言语智能,而是融入多种智能协调发展的多元课堂,阅读材料可被转换成多种智能参与的内容。作者针对高职英语的阅读现状,分析了多元智能运用于英语阅读课堂的必要性和可行性,提出了多元化英语阅读教学课堂的基本模式,并以具体课堂教学为例阐述了多元智能适用于高职英语阅读课堂。
The theory of Multiple intelligence (MI) respects individual intelligences and disapproves the traditional "teacher-centered" mode. MI-based English reading classroom can be defined as the place where multiple intelligences of the learners function together rat- her than the only verbal-linguistic intelligence, and the reading material can be converted into the teaching content involving all kinds of activities catering for different intelligences initiated by the teacher. Aiming at the current reading teaching at vocational colleges, this paper suggests the basic MI-based teaching mode and illustrates feasibility of application of MI to reading teaching by taking one clas- sroom teaching example.
