The appearance of post-modernist novels synchronized with the emergence of postmodernism in philosophy. As a cultural tide in the globalized information era, post-modernist novels have such three major characteristics as metafictionality, intertextuality and subject nihility which can reflect three major transmutations from modernist literature to post-modernist literature.
