The whole process of manganese emergency monitoring in transboundary pollution accident between Guizhou and Hu- nan provinces was comprehensively described. The manganese emergency monitoring plan, the selection of analytical technology, the monitoring personnel organization and quality control were discussed in detail. Finally, the technology and management experience of this emergency monitoring were summarized.
