Large-Scale Application of High Tc Superconductors Comes to Utilities

高温超导强电应用技术的发展有赖于实用高温超导材料制备技术的重大突破。随着最近几年来实用高温超导材料的研制取得重大的进展 ,高温超导强电应用已经成为现实 ,预期将在 2 0 1 0- 2 0 2 0年左右出现大规模的应用 ,并将对人类社会产生积极而深远的影响。因此 ,下一个十年将是全球高温超导技术竞争最关键的十年。本文将简要介绍高温超导强电应用研究的现状和应用前景。

Since the high Tc superconducting (HTS) tapes for practical applications have been commercially available in past few years, the research and development of large-scale application have achieved significant progresses. It is foreseen that high Tc superconducting technology would be the prevailing high technology of 21 st century ,and superconducting power equipment would be commercialized soon and would form a large market during 2010-2020. This paper reviewed the present status as well as the prospects of large-scale application of high Tc superconductors.
