Objective To investigate the expression of low density lipprotein receptor-related protein 1B (LRP1B) in breast carcinoma and relationship with pathological clinical features, then explore the possible effect in the development of breast carcinoma. Methods In situ hy- bridization was used to detect the expression of LRP1B in 128 normal breast tissues and 128 breast carcinoma specimens. Results Of 128 cases of breast cancer specimens, 42 cases LRP1B expression, the positive rate was 32. 8%. 128 normal colon control group, 128 cases LRP1B expression, the positive rate was 100.0%. The difference between the two groups was significant (P 〈 0.05 ) ; LRP1 B expression in breast cancer had no correlation with ages, tumor locations and tumor sizes ( P 〉 0. 05 ) , had negatively correlation with WHO classification, lymph node metastasis, TNM stage ( P 〈 0.05 ). Conclusion The reduction or deletion of LRP1B in breast cancer tissue has certain reference value for prognosis of breast cancer.
