从合作原则角度分析家庭会话含义

A Cooperative Principle Approach to Conversational Implicature in Family Dialogues

格莱斯所提出的合作原则和会话含义对实现会话目的起着至关重要的作用。文章以日常生活中观察和总结的家庭会话为语料,对违反合作原则的某项准则推导出的会话含义作了分析。通过分析,展现出了传统中国家庭中的三种特殊的人际关系。

Conversational implicature refers to the non-conventional meaning of the utterance, which is different from the literal meaning of the utterance. In other words, it is a kind of speaker meaning when he or she deliberately flouts a maxim. In family conversation, sometimes, one of the two speaking parties deliberately offers a false proposition that the other is clear about. This paper reports the three traditional relationships in Chinese family through analysis of imphcature of family conversation based on Grice＇s cooperative principle and conversational implicature. It is tound that Grice＇s cooperative principle can be applied in Chinese context.
