On the neglect of the black discourse in postmodern context, Bell Hooks proposes "postmodem blackness", unfolds the diversified black female experience and queries the essentialist views on blackness through her postmodern autobiography Bone Black : Memories of Girlhood. The autobiography also plays as a strategy of Hooks' s cultural politics to resist race, gen- der and class oppressions, setting an example for postmodern black cultural practice.
