梅曾亮《古文词略》是桐城派编纂的众多选本中唯一的诗文合选本,但长久以来,此选本在学界并未得到广泛关注。即便是在对梅曾亮的研究论著中,《古文词略》亦甚少被提及。实际上,从编纂体例、注释方式、诗文择取标准等方面考察,此选本可视为梅曾亮对于桐城师法的传承。同时,它也蕴含着梅曾亮作为桐城派中坚力量的一种新思考。

Section of Ancient Poetic Proses by Mei Zengliang is the only selection of poems and proses inTongcheng School of literature, but little attention has been paid, even in the works of Mei Zengliang research. From the compilation style, annotation, selection criteria and so on, the selection can be regarded as the inheritance of Tongcheng School, which contains a new thought of Mei Zengliang as a backbone force of Tongcheng School.
