On the Theoretical Value and Practical Significance of Carrying out ＂12-word＂ Policy

在西安翻译学院丁祖诒院长提出的“读书、做人、文明、亲情、变革、奋进”的十二字办学理念中，“读书”是核心，“做人”、做“文明、亲情”之人是根本，而“变革、奋进”是新时期人才应具备的特点。学习这种科学的办学理念，并在学生工作实践中加以贯彻，从而形成西安翻译学院学生工作的显著特点。

President Ding Zu-yi of Xi＇an Fanyi University put forward the ＂ 12-word＂ policy ＂Reading books, Refining oneself, civilization, affection, innovation advancing bravely , among which ＂Reading books＂ is the core. To refine oneself is the ground of ＂civilization and affection＂. ＂Innovation, advancing bravely＂ is the Characteristics possessed by ＂talented persons in the new century＂. Learning this scientific educational concept, and carrying it out in the education of students, we can form distinguished features in the students work of Xi＇an FanYi University.
