从汉字繁简之争看哲学社会科学工作者的社会责任意识

To Observe the Sense of Social Responsibility of the Workers on Social Sciences from the Dispute on the Usage of Simplified Chinese Characters or Complex Ones

坚持汉字简化方向、努力实现汉字规范化、标准化，不仅合乎汉字自身发展的规律，更体现了语言文字工作者坚持国家一贯的语言文字方针政策、使语言文字工作更好地服务于国家现代化建设大局的强烈的社会责任感。相反，鼓吹繁体字回潮，为繁体字“申遗”摇旗呐喊，企图恢复繁体字，不仅是开历史的倒车，更表现出一个哲学社会科学工作者对汉字发展规律的漠视和社会责任心的缺失。

The degree of normalization of language and characters is one of important symbols of the degree of civilization of a nationality and the basis of information democracy in the information era. Chinese characters are writing code system for recording Chinese language. The degree of standardization of Chinese Characters determines the degree of information democracy in our country. Since the policy of reform and opening-up was carried out, the dispute on the usage of simplified Chinese characters or complex ones has never stopped. In early 1990s, the reversion of usage of complex Chinese characters brought about social chaos. In recent years some scholars and professors put forward some proposals at the National People＇ s Congress that we should use complex Chinese characters. This phenomenon reveals the sense of social responsibility and sense of law of the workers on social sciences. Striving for the standardization of Chinese characters not only conforms with the rule of the development of Chinese characters, but also embodies the sense of social responsibility of the workers on social sciences.
