对英语学习中“母语负迁移”说法的反思

A Tentative Study on the ＂Negative Transfer of Mother Tongue ＂in English Learning

对中国英语学习者在英语学习过程中所犯的错误，学术界最普遍的归因是“母语负迁移”，因此大家都有一种错觉，外语没有学好，是因为母语的影响。这种归因不无道理，但是经过多年的英语学习，笔者发现，这种归因也不全对。本文从英语与母语的关系以及口语表达所听到的和写作中所见到的实例证明，母语负迁移只是我们外语尚未熟练掌握的借口。

It has been a common practice in academic field to attribute the mistakes English learners made to negative influence of their mother tongue--＂ negative transfer＂. This leads to false belief that it is mother tongue that should blame if someone can＇ t learn English well. But from years of personal experience in learning English, I have found that attribution of poor English to ＂negative transfer＂ is just an excuse for not having practiced English well.
