摘要
在全球化的发展趋势下,国际交往日益频繁,迫切需要同时具备扎实的公安业务知识和较强跨文化交际能力的警务人员。公安院校英语教学决定着未来人民警察能否运用英语承担各类涉外案件、开展对外交流、发挥我国公安队伍在国际事务中的重要作用。文化是交际的内容,交际文化素养的习得直接影响着英语语言的运用。文章从专门用途英语ESP(English for Special Purpose)及其需求分析理论入手,运用需求分析方法进行问卷访谈等调查,以期给公安院校英语文化教学带来一些启示。
Under the background of globalization,international exchange is increasingly frequent, which needs more policemen with strong policing professional knowledge and cross - culture communicative ability. The English teaching in police school decides whether the policemen solve foreign cases, do foreign communication and play the important role of Chinese police in international affairs or not. Culture is the content of communication. The acquisition of communication ability affects the language application. The author started from ESP （English for Special Purpose） and need analysis theory and did research with questionnaire and talk so as to give several suggestions on English teaching on culture in police school.
