Interpretations of Fuxuan Xu in The History of the Three Kingdoms Noted by Pei Songzhi: Lives of Ma Jun

马钧是三国时期的机械制造家,其主要活动发生在魏明帝曹叡和齐王曹芳时期。他革新了织绫机,提高了功效四五倍;革新创造了指南车、翻车、水转百戏;因遭无理诘难,其改进诸葛亮连弩的想法和改进发石车的设计未能成功。《三国志》裴松之注引中有傅玄对马钧的高度赞誉和评价。

Ma Jun was the person who did well in machinery manufacturing in the Three Kingdoms period. He reformed many old machines. However he was also questioned unjustifiably, ideas about improvement of other machines were not brought into being. Fu Xuan sang highly of Ma Jun in The History of the Three Kingdoms noted by Pei Songzhi.
