摘要
EPON技术是在无源光网络不断进步并和以太网技术相结合的基础上产生发展的,它综合了无源光网络(PON)和以太网的优点,并加以改进,形成了高技术含量、完善的技术水平、性价比高等特色。通过一些应用实例,来探讨EPON技术在视频监控系统中的应用。
EPON technology is developed based on passive optical network and Ethernet technology progress and combining.It combines the advantages of passive optical network （PON） and Ethernet, and improved, forming a high technical content;improve the technical level , the performance-to-price ratio higher character-istic.This feature makes the EPON technology is widely used in video monitoring system .this paper is based on some practical application examples , to discuss the application of EPON technology .
