“祏”字的“误解误用”及其考释

历代文献和辞书对"祏"字的释义多为"藏主石函",事实上这一解释是对该字的误解误用。文章从字形、古音、文化背景等方面着手,证明"祏"的本义应为神主,同时将通过对"石室"一词的解释来揭示出现这种文献误解误用的原因。

In ancient literature and dictionaries, the character ＂祏＂ （SHI） is often interpreted as ＂the stone box in which the Tablets of the GOD is hidden＂. This article argues that this interpretation is mistaken. In perspectives of form, phonology and culture, this article proves that the original meaning of the＂ SHI＂ should be＂ the Tablets of the GOD＂. It also reveals the reasons for the mistaken interpretation.
