Kazuo Ishiguro is a writer good at exploring the ＂trauma＂ theme. This paper attempts to explore the pilgrimage of characters＇ pursuit of the existence significance and their removal of the identity dilemma in the ＂post - traumatic＂ context in novels of Kazuo Ishiguro, a Japan-born British writer, by using the trauma theory. In his works, individuals have managed to turn their condensed traumatic memory into the dynamic meaning construction-＂ self-care＂, ＂the acceptance of others＂, and ＂the reconstruction of the living world＂ respectively--so as to gain ＂the new pattern of subjectivity＂ and to be likely to self-cure in the reflective reconstruction.
