用户信息需求量大、需求多样化、需求瞬息万变的特点,决定了信息市场需求的无限性,任何一个图书馆都不可能把整个信息市场作为自己的目标市场。作者分析了图书馆正确选择信息服务目标市场的必要性。论述了目标市场确立的基本步骤。
The information demands from users are great, diverse and fast changing, which have determined the unlimited re- quirements of the information market. But it is limited for the library to offer the information service due to the lack of hu- man, material and financial resources. Such contrary shall not make any library to take the whole information market as its targeted marketed to do its information services. Hereby the authors have described the necessity for the library to select the correct target marketed for the information services and the foundations to set up the targeted market: to scientifically analyze the information market based on the investigation of the market and to evaluate the capability of libraries themselves for the purpose of choosing the correct targeted market.
