摘要
1845~1852年爱尔兰爆发了饥荒，这次饥荒饥荒持续时间长，破坏性大。基督教会积极参与饥荒的救济活动，教友派是众多教会救济团体中的表率，通过成立救济组织，筹集善款，成为官方救济的重要补充。在降低饥荒的破坏性方面，教友派发挥了重要的作用。
