明清广东方志中有关客家方言的记载

The Records of the Hakka Dialect in Ming and Qing Dynasties in Local Chronicles of Guangdong Province

"客家话"是伴随着客家意识产生而产生的一种方言名称,是显示客家族群特征的一个重要载体。从明中叶开始,广肇惠地区出现客家方言的称谓,在同一时期的粤东北地区没有把自己的方言称为客话。清末民初时期,客家方言名称传入粤东北客家人聚居的核心地带,并被客家知识分子接受与传播。

The Hakka dialect is a dialect named along with the Hakka consciousness, which also displays an important carrier for Hakka ethnic characteristics. Starting from the middle Ming dynasty, the name of Hakka dialect has appeared in Guangzhou, Zhaoqing and Huizhou. During the same period in Northeast Guangdong, their own dialect did not be called Hakka dialect. Until the late Qing Dynasty, the dialect name came into the core area of northeast Guangdong , Hakka intellectuals began to accept the call of Hakka dialect.
