At the beginning of the British Empire, the sea-related literature relates to "overpopulation" and how to build "empire of the sea" and other advocates, which, in theory, explore the possibility and necessity of Britain to expand outside. During the rise of the Empire, the sea-related literature draws to the British population, by colonists" overseas resettlement such as Robinson, the basic ways to build its empire. After Britain grabbed the world hegemony, the sea-related literature is to defend the values and the legalization of the order of the empire. The British sea-related literature, therefore, realizes the transformation from the cultural narrative to the political function, which helps to build Empire from the text and the ideological point of view.
