摘要
"乐(樂)",对其起源、本义、读音的考釋,古今歧说极多。本文作者以为:"樂"本义为商之谛祭;其读音当为y。"音乐"之"乐(uèy)"、"欢乐"之"乐(uòl、l)"、"疗(iáol)"皆其延伸义。
An examination of the character '樂''s origin,its original meaning and pronunciation,reveals too many different viewpoints both in the ancient times and in the present. The author realizes that its original meaning is a kind of sacrifice in the Shang Dynasty,pronounced as yào. As for the other pronunciations,most are its extended meanings,e. g. yuè( yinyue,music),luò、lè( huanle,merry),liáo( yiliɑo,medical treatment).
