Each architectural fact usually happens at one place but many different times. With the exception of ephemeral proposals(in their multiple, diverse materializations),architecture tends to last long enough to experiment changes in the society and culture that surrounds it.Thisimpliesthefactthatbuildingsmustfacethematteroftimeanddecidewhattodo:mutating,remaining,disappearing.Often,buildings(and even more, urban developments) tend to survived those who thought them, the future will be so another present for architecture.Besides, there is an existing substratum the building is forced to react to.Either passively or actively, somehow architecture is put in the position to locate itself towards everything that preceded it.And to the final extent, there it is the time during which architecture is actually experimented by the user, the moment when architecture actually happens,a tempo that in certain manner the architecture project also controls. Is time designable? This text will aim to implement a transversal view on recent Spanish architecture through its relation with the concept of time.
