The Influence of "Chinoiserie" upon British Interior Decorative Arts and Its Modern Application

"中国风"是17-18世纪间随着大量中国外销艺术品输入欧洲后,在西方装饰艺术的基础上形成的一种中西合璧的新形式。本文以其在18世纪欧洲的盛行为背景,以英国著名的乡村庄园为切入点,结合相应的室内陈设场景,具体分析了中国风设计对英国装饰图案与装饰工艺的影响,并在此基础上,探讨了"中国风"在现代家具陈设上的应用。

With the mass introduction of Chinese art commodities into European countries during the 17th-18th centuries, ＂Chinoiserie＂,a new art form that combined traditional Chinese elements with Western art forms, was created on the basis of the Western decorative arts. Taking the prevalence of the ＂Chinoiserie＂ in the 18th century Europe as the background and the renowned British country house as the entry point, this essay concretely analyzed the influence of the ＂Chinoiserie＂ upon British decorative patterns and techniques by introducing the relevant interior furnishings. And on this basis, it also probes into the application of the ＂Chinoiserie＂ on modem furnishings.
