The thought of ＂oneness of man and nature＂ and cultural deposits of ＂Chinese ink and wash＂ have great influences in Suzhou dwellings as well as garden architectures. To inherit the essence of traditional culture as well as innovation, in architecture creation, is the main challenge which faces to the designer. The Suzhou museum, by l.M.Pei, inherits the traditional culture in series of design details. The paper analyzes the yard layout, visit routes and landscape architecture so as to extract the cultural connotation in Suzhou museum.
