摘要
以位于佛罗里达州的艾丽斯滨海镇(Alys Beach)为主要案例,通过对新城市主义产生背景、基本理念及设计的原则介绍与分析,从实践的角度阐述了新城市主义理论对城市化发展以及居民生活方式的改善所起到的积极作用。并总结了新城市主义发展过程中所引发的质疑,揭示了其思想的先进性及在具体实施上存在的缺陷,以期明确其理论的本质,为今后的城镇规划提供切实可行的理论基础。
Taking Florida＇s Alys Beach for example, by expatiation and analyzing on the background, basic ideas and design discipline of New Urbanism, this paper makes an approach to the positive role in the development of urbanization and the improvement of people＇s life style played by New Urbanism. It also summarizes the criticisms in the process of New Urbanism＇s development to demonstrate its progressiveness and limitation in the specific implementation, also provides practical theory for town planning in the future.
