Because of water shortage and serious water pollution in the Haihe River Basin, water transfer from other basins is the fundamental approach to resolving the problem. Water resources protection in water transfer projects is very important. The Luan-Jin and Huang-Wei water transfer projects are two large-scale projects for transferring water from other basins to the Haihe River Basin. The experience in water resources protection can be referred to by other similar water conservancy projects.
