Features Comparison of TSFDI by Multinational Companies from Developed and Developing Countries

在分析发达与发展中国家跨国公司技术获取型投资的共性特点基础上,从投资动因、投资主体、投资产业、投资区位、进入模式、技术寻求与创新六个方面比较了发达与发展中国家企业技术获取型投资的特点差异。为了缩小与先进企业的技术差距,提升海外技术获取效应,发展中国家政府应鼓励民营企业和服务业企业加入技术获取型投资,加强对高端服务业的知识寻求;企业应增强对发达国家的技术布局,综合利用多种进入模式,实现技术获取与技术创新并重。

Based on the analysis of common characteristics of technology sourcing foreign direct investment （TSFD1） by multinational companies from both developed and developing countries, the paper compares their different features in six as- pects such as investment motives, principal investor, investment industry, investment location, entry mode, and technolo- gy sourcing and innovation. In order to enhance overseas technology sourcing effect to narrow the technology gap with ad- vanced firms, governments of developing countries should promote private enterprises and the service sector to join TSFDI, strengthen knowledge seeking in high - end services. In addition, enterprises from developing countries should reinforce their technological layout in developed countries, comprehensively utilize a variety of entry mode, and lay equal stress on technology acquisition and technology innovation.
