The Music of Lusheng Flute: Cultural Contents and Values

"芦笙笛"是贵州从江县高增乡侗族老百姓非常喜爱的一种群体性吹管乐器,过去一直没被学界发现。这种乐器不仅在产生背景以及乐器制作、音乐结构等方面具有独特性(笔者曾有专文论述),而且也有特殊的社会功能与文化内涵,与当地的生存环境以及民族习俗、民族心理等有着密切联系。

Lusheng flute is a musical instrument popular with the Dong people in Gaozeng Township, Congjiang County of Guizhou Province, rarely studied before. We find that this type of musical instrument is unique in background , making and structure, and that it has parti- cular social functions and cultural contents, closely related to the local living environment and the customs or mentality of minority people.
