摘要
北京故宫博物院藏有一尊斯瓦特四臂黄铜佛像,学界或定名观音或定名弥勒。通过对该像佛像持物及标帜的详细考察,我们认为它是一尊融合斯瓦特风格与吐蕃风格的四臂弥勒像,而非观音像。本文结合相关文献和实物遗存,论证了四臂弥勒佛像所产生的多元文化元素及图式的象征内涵。
In the Palace Museum, there collects a swat four -arm Buddha make of copper. Scholars identify it either as Guanyin or Maitreya. Through a detailed study upon objects it holds, we state that it is not Guanyin but a fourarm Maitreya of integrated swat and Tibetan style. Based upon relevant literature and remained objects, we find multi -cultural elements and symbolic connotation that the fourarm Maitreya have.
