With the rapid development of economy and the improvement of English teaching level, more and more colleges have opened the course of English for Special Purpose （ESP）. The teaching focus have shifted gradually from the basic English edu- cation to ESP course. This article analyses the necessity and the effictive ways of the professional development transition.
