依据美国Micromedex公司的背景资料 ,较系统、全面地介绍了该公司信息产品的特点、种类及信息的采集加工与服务 ,并针对我国医药信息产品的现状 ,提出应加大建设基于事实的知识型数据库的力度 ,以适应广大用户对各类数据库信息的需求。

Based on the background materials of Micromedex in USA, the article gives a comprehensive introduction to the characteristics, types, data collection and processing as well as services of its information products. In light of the current status of medical information products in China, more efforts should be put on construction of evidence-based knowledge databases in order to meet the requirements from users in accessing various kinds of database information.
