迥然相异抑或和而不同?——关于翻译学硕士(MA)和翻译硕士专业学位(MTI)培养的几点思考 被引量:6

摘要 翻译学硕士(MA)和翻译硕士专业学位(MTI)这两种不同翻译硕士教育类型的确立标志着我国翻译硕士教育形成了学术型和专业型两种培养体系,由此也引发了学界和译界对有关这两种不同的翻译硕士教育的培养模式和课程体系等问题的热议。翻译方向MA和MTI尽管在课程体系和培养模式等方面的设计上有所不同,但不能忽视其共有的学科思想基础,即基于体验的翻译理论与实践的结合。一味刻意划分两者之间的区别,会将翻译理论的指导价值边缘化,从而传递出实用至上、市场至上的错误倾向,无法达到预期的培养目标。本文在总结目前翻译硕士发展过程中诸多问题的症结之后,还讨论了翻译方向MA和MTI学科理论范畴的共核及翻译硕士教育课程设计的学科理念问题。 The establishment of MA on Translation Studies and MTI symbolizes two different orientations of graduate educa- tion in China. Recently, discussions on educational patterns, and curriculum design of the two programs aroused great aca- demic attention. Although MA on Translation Studies and MTI are designed to be different in terms of their objectives, they still share common ground of disciplinary concerns, which mean the embodied combination of translation theories and prac- tice. Deliberate separation of the two will marginalize the theoretical value, thus implicate wrong turns of excessively priori- tizing the importance of market and practical means. The present paper is an attempt to specify certain common problems that appeared in recent development and provide possible suggestions for plausible future disciplinary ideology.
