英语专业研究生口语非流利重复特征研究

A study of disfluent repetitions in the oral production by Chinese postgraduate English majors

本研究对比我国英语专业研究生和英语本族语学生口语产出中的非流利重复,探索二语口语非流利重复的主要特征。结果显示两组受试的口语非流利重复在类型、分布和次数上存在一些相似之处。但是,英专研究生的非流利重复也呈现明显不同特征:1)非流利重复频率显著较高;2)动词及谓语重复比例较高;3)句首元素重复趋势不如本族语学生的同类趋势集中;4)重叠型重复比例更大,结构更为复杂。

This study investigates L2 oral disfluent repetitions by Chinese advanced learners of English with comparison to those by native English speakers. Results show that both the advanced English learners and the native speakers shared certain similarities in the type, distribution and cycle of disfluent repetitions. However, the Chinese students exhibited the following distinctive features:(1) they made significantly more disfluent repetitions;(2) they made proportionally more repetitions on verbs and predicates;(3) they made fewer repetitions at sentence initial positions; and(4) they made more complex, overlapping repetitions.
