早竹竹仔苗开花结实现象和育种利用

Flowering and Seeding of Dwarf Phyllostachys praecox and Application of Breeding

对早竹(Phyllostachys praecox)竹仔苗的开花结实性进行研究,结果表明:①早竹竹仔苗与普通早竹一样,全年都有孕花开花,4-6月为开花盛期,8-9月次之,12月和1月最低;②早竹开花竹仔苗比普通开花早竹表现出优良的结实性,竹仔苗上获得种子,而普通竹上没有获得种子;③早竹竹鞭鞭段诱导竹仔苗,其个体矮小,可以在泥炭蛭石混合基质的塑料容器中盆栽化,其盆栽竹仔苗具有携带、管理方便,环境条件可控等优点,盆栽竹仔苗在温室条件下仍能正常生长孕花开花,并能获得种子;④早竹竹仔苗获得的种子能发育成正常的植株。

Recent observations demonstrated that dwarf Phyllostachys praecox had better seed-setting ability than normal bamboos which often flower but rarely bear seeds. Further test results showed that dwarf Ph. praecox can flower within a year just as normal one, full flowering stage in April and June. It had a better seed-setting rate than normal one. Dwarf bamboos induced from rhizome segments were even smaller in size and could be planted in containers with peat and vermiculite. The test showed that the potted dwarf bamboos could normally flower and bear seeds. The seeds fxom the container dwarf bamboo could grow into normal seedlings.
