In recent years, with its own geographical advantages, the mountainous eco -tourism in the Southwest of China has been developed to great extent. As an important carrier for eco - tourism, the resources for mountainous tourism are able to integrate with the regional resources to promote an all -round development of regional ecology, economy, society and culture. Meanwhile, as the resources for mountainous tourism are vulner- able and geographically closed, the lack of scientific planning and guidance will seriously undermine regional and ecological imbalance, thereby affecting the regional sustainable development. From this point of view, a system- atic and all -round analysis of ecotourism in the southwestern mountainous regions is of great theoretical value and realistic significance for the development of eco - tourism in the mountainous areas in the Southwest of China and even in the whole country.
